Many ppl notice i have game problems last days, disconect, freeze, black screens,...

I got already around 10 hardware failures, stupid hard drive is getting retired soon i guess, i go try to get new a new cable tomorrow (have to dig my attic), and in last option replace the hard drive, nightmare having to backup all the crap, install everything again so if anyone see me disappearing from the game don't be surprised.

Yesterday on sieges i got image freeze for seconds a hundred of times, got a lot in HB later, and even disappeared for some seconds of the party in SV.

Hope to have this fixed soon, till that have some patience if i disappear and for any reason i dont log back again :(

Sounds like the problem I am having with TJ's comp.

It runs fine when I have webpages up - but as soon as I put L2 client up, the system shuts down - so not sure if it is l2 that is crashing the comp, or if the systems is messed up and can not handle l2 runing.

Reinstalling sucks. Am still reinstalling software on my laptop and still have to do my PC which got some strange non-harmful virus which I want to get rid of.

Back upping 250gb of data is hard, especially if 40gb of that is somesort hard to refind MP3.

that is computer newest Lineage2 Anti-Addict Emergency System. otherwise known as L.A.2.A.A.E.S. atm beta version is tested on TJ - alfa versions were tested earlier too - and soon will be release.

ps offtop: i really wish you luck MG, it's really hard to fix the problem if it on hardware level, the only thing that helps is to change the part >< (with very few exceptions). I hope you do things like Defragmentation time from time - it helps to run your HDD a little bit faster - also if you have two physical HDDs - make sure that system is one 1st and lineage is on second - that might help too with older systems/HDDs. (i'm still proud i could run lineage on ~433 Hz pentium processor and 128 ram)

pss. (after geno's post) nowadays HDDs are relatively cheap - so for relatively fast backing up - just use two physical hdds. one for system - other for personal info. all you need is to save system info like my docs, desktop and stuff. yes, you can break down partitions and stuff using one HDD, but there was one incident when i was installing XP - with some new SATA HDD - basically D and C drives somehow switched places - and i ended up formating about 120 GB of information. thanks god it was just films and useless stuff i could not remember what was in there - all my important info is on 3rd HDD which is on shelf :) other thing you can do - windows has some back-up functions (i remember XP and now win7) but i have no idea about them - i was rised on win98 and do everything with my hands :D

I couldn't resist Bukohm...

But the part you said is offtop...is actually the part that is on topic.

The LA2AAES is off topic...classic.
