Webpage Upgrade

Yesterday i started the webpage system update process that i was skipping already for a while.

Since the system went in Beta stage i was making some tests, and trying to collect some ppl to help on the upgrade path, but the system ended more complex that it was on the past, and anyone not following from the start would be hard to figure the help i could need or make the right changes needed.

So last night i decided start the upgrade process by my own.

The old theme/skin ended broken for 3 or 4 tests and the base interface skin was bad to have enabled since it would make many areas completly invisible to the users, so i taken this skin from TalkTemplate to avoid those problems.
Currently this skin is way far for a good visualization, many broken icons, menus badly visible and few other issues, but soon the old theme will be back and everything will back to normal.

This is not just a upgrade on the forum system, but now it have new features like the most noticed CMS and this Blog area, many other upgrades are in the core partt and with that many extra options, for performance, security, management, and to provide a better experience, functionability and content totally different we used to see over this three years.

Huge changes have been placed to prevent the spammer attacks we add last months, and new enforced moderated options have been placed to provide everyone the best experience while browsing this webpage.

I veave a list of the more significant things:

- All registed users will receive a notice to update the profiles, enforcement on rules as been added (Rules list will be updated soon to match our friendship, loyalty and legitimate actions).
In your profiles theres a new field called "Country Flag", you just should pick the Country you belong, theres also a White and Black option if anyone dont want to share this info.

- New users will have limitations in their actions, will be unable to send private messages to users before having some posts aproved, unable to view certain zones on private / closed areas, use albums, groups and many other actions, soon they have their post count aproved those limitations will end.

- Old image gallery and download area was dropped, the interface was poor and far to be user friendly, soon the images will be placed in other way to the correct user albums. The download area will be placed on the CMS and may have some restrictions to unregisted users.

- The Chat interface have been also upgraded to the new version compatible with the new system, since many things changed the old chat database is no longer avayable.

- The old portal we used to have was replaced by the actual CMS, monstly old feature will soon be avayable and new content will be added.

- The Wiki started last year is curently paused, later the team will decide if that will be avayable again, or if a new area will be just added to the CMS to replace it.

- A automated Birthday reminder and greet have been placed, still have to change the messages but is already avayable on the propper area.

- New preventions have been placed to the banned users.

- Some changes have been done to the Videos, Images on forum, if anyone find a broken code on those should report the post so the moderation team can fix it.

- A personal image gallery have been enabled.

- A new friend list is now avayable.

- Users without Avatars have now a default Avatar and all Avatars have the same size in the forum postbit.

- Some visual experience can be noticed in different browsers, due to some Internet Explorer restrictions, the page will be best viewed in Firefox, Chrome, and some other browers, this is not a error and some things are still being developed to provide the best visuals in all browers.

- The forum URL system as changed, so its possible the old links to other threads stop working or take some time to find the post at this point.

- Many users interfaces were changed (Groups, Profile Page, Private Messages, Albums, etc.)



At the moment there is a huge to do list, all permissions need to be reviewed for users, forums, cms, blogs so till this process is tested and finished some small issues may be noticed (unable to view some areas, unable to use certain functions).

Hope soon everything is finished to make the Graphics back, till that i hope everyone enjoy the best possible the current new changes.
