9800GT Cooler death "detected"

Well, my come back to Lineage 2 wasn't as good as i planned, XFX renail cooler got jammed with dust (and lol i cleaned it on time to time) and started to run wild last week (yeah before i return) and then today it was laudly running at 3krpm then gone below 1.5krpm then started to crazly go up and down and i opened riva turner to see how it was going. (nice graphic /\/\/\/\/\/\/\0 )
Don't worrie i can still log form my work and probably tomorrow will be buying a new fan for my graphic card (not the best one but something that can keep it running fine). But don't expect to see me fully operational this week during this SMALL problem.

Maybe it's time to move to a cooler country. I believe this isn't the first time you had problems with ur graphic card.

Well yeah but my old 8600GT Fatal1ty was passived cooled, so the high temps were easy to correct with a fuan blowing over it. But don't worry i already have the new fan at my side... At least all reviews over it say it cools better then the usual rentil cooler.

But actually dust was the main problem. Last month there was a storm on my city that made several casualities ad some inundations what leaded to so much mud over the streets that we can still see mud everywhere, as so my house started to have so much dust around that everything become dirt in a matter of days, so even with me cleaning the pc fans here and tehre, i can't do much for the nvidia style of fan once it's too closed to be decently cleaned, as so the fan started to make noises, and even after some lubrication, it started to do wild speeds (the variation i mentioned above). I was seeing the death of it, (why you think i was playing with Riva turne open and showing the coler speeds?). As so yesterday afternoon i was online when the noise suddenly stoped, it gone down to 1500RPM and there it stayed as the gpu temps started to rise fastly (from 61 to 76 in like 10 mins). So Lineage down and i was looking how it gone (while was looking already for a replacement), 1 hour later it gone up to 3000RPM for like 2 mins then 0 . So i took the entire system down and took the thing out to replace the fan (it's at my side now).

I actually just need to move down at my country to find some better ambience for my pc, but i can't do it once i do have work and son isn't that easy to move away Gen.

Man you have no idea how right you are on this when you told that today... For what seems i did messed up and on the eager of install the new fun i didn't noticed that the xfx upper metal holder prevented the new fan (with heatskins) to touch the gpu... The GC powered up and 2 secs later the system gone donw and no more up unless i take the card of... Shouldn't go outside today again a lightining might hit me... Will so some other tests to be sure that it really died but... well i'm not feeling good atm.

Time to break my pig and count the coins for something else...
