NCsoft Announces a New Way to Play Lineage® II Goddess of Destruction™
Players will experience a completely reimagined Lineage II, featuring revamped content and game experiences
Seattle, WA - October 11, 2011 – NCsoft®, the world's premier publisher and developer of massively multiplayer online games (MMOs), is proud to announce its partnership with Innova, a game publisher known for providing Lineage® II service in Russia, to service Lineage II Free to Play in Europe. Current Lineage II European players who already have NCsoft West accounts can continue to play on existing NCsoft West servers.
Meanwhile, NCsoft West is planning a new Hybrid business model tailored for its players. This new business model provides features an order of magnitude greater than those of a conventional subscription model, and creates a new way to play. Additional details will be announced soon.

For now it does not mean anything. As stated NCWest also wants to offer a "hybrid" system.

We'll have to wait what will be announced in the next weeks. My guess is that they either offer transfer to the European servers or if one has to stay in NCWest (Naia or Chronos) they will offer same F2P as in Europe.

Only time will tell, I am sure our characters will not get "lost".

Just saying if our characters get lost on a server nobody wants to play on, then well the l2 adventure is over. I am not doing a force reroll on f2p eu server, transfer or nothing.

I wonder what you all think of this. If the EU server happens to turn out decent, then i'll probably move over. Free to play is always a good incentive.

Having to transfer your character over would not be an issue for me, if they even have that option available to you. There is still a lot of speculation since NC West are terrible at delivering infomation when needed, but would the majority of the players on Naia move over?

Mostlikely current accounts will be transformed into payed accounts, which on Ru server gain more exp/sp/loot then f2p accounts.

there are americans playing in EU, they are quite ok. Dont know what will happen if the whole server plays in US. Now if the server times change in US time that is something else.
